Natalie is an individual and family therapist at dTEC® who is very passionate about helping people struggling with digital media overuse and addiction. This interest started early in Natalie’s life and has shaped her education and career choices.
As an undergraduate, she completed her bachelor’s degree in communication focusing on the ways digital media affects communication styles and relationships. She then obtained a second bachelor’s degrees in philosophy to learn how digital media impacts one’s sense of self, connection to others, and connection to the world. Her desire to help people directly led her to complete her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Natalie is currently a licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado. She has worked with diverse clients in a variety of settings, including university counseling centers, outpatient mental health centers, neurofeedback clinics, addiction treatment centers, and forensic counseling centers.
Natalie is skilled at working with individuals, couples, and families on a variety of concerns including behavior addictions, substance addictions, mood disorders, trauma, relationship concerns, as well as helping people reach their highest potential. She has completed additional trainings in adventure therapy and water based adventure therapy which she integrates into her treatment approach.
